Winona-Ryder
Winona Laura Horowitz, professionally referred to by the name Winona Ryder was born in Winona Minnesota. Parents named her Winona after her home town. Michel Horowitz' father was an author and editor, as were Cynthia Palmer and her mother. Ryder's father and mother have both been Jewish. Ryder believes herself to being Jewish. The actress also has a half-sister, Sunyata Jubal. Her older brother is Uria. Ryder along with her whole family moved to California's Mendocino County in the year 2000, when Ryder was just seven. There they didn't have electricity. Ryder who loved reading at the age of 12 became a book worm since Ryder was not able to access television. Ryder began taking acting classes when Ryder was twelve years old, at the American Conservatory Theatre. In 1986 she landed her first major-screen appearance in the movie Lucas she was only fifteen years old. Ryder was subject to bullying in high school. She thought that by becoming an actor her behaviour could be reduced. But it wasn't to come to be. The actress continued to chase her dreams. She got her break through Tim Burton's Beetlejuice in the year 1988. Ryder was a star in numerous films. He was nominated for two Academy Awards were nominated, one for The Age of Innocence (1996).
